2023 Student of the Year

Aidan Laiju Samuel started his musical journey at the age of 6 as a virtual student during Covid times. Identifying his passion and skill for music he began the RCM curriculum under the tutelage of Ms. Mary. Aidan completed 3 levels of rigorous RCM testing in a single year. At the age of 7 he is completing RCM level 3. Aidan enjoys learning and is in the FISD gifted and talented program. In his spare time he loves drawing and painting and follows YouTube art channels. In addition to art he plays soccer with his brother, Ryan, and plays for the FC Legends soccer club.

Achievement in Competition

Eashaan began his journey in music at the age of 3. He started the RCM program with Ms. Mary around the age of 6. To date, he is currently on level 9, which is a huge accomplishment at the age of 12. In addition to RCM he has competed in piano competitions throughout the years. One of his main interests include reading. His natural curiosity keeps him engaged in different subjects including sports, mystery and fantasy fiction. He also competed in Esports events where his team reached the state championship. 

As for academics, his favorite subjects are science and technology. All comes together for Eashaan as a grounded boy who loves spending time with his family.

RCM Highest Level

Ektoras started his musical journey at around 10 years old with Ms. Mary. He joined RCM immediately and averaged 2 levels per year up until level 9. In addition to piano he is in the gifted and talented program and in the honor society. He scored one of the highest grades for math in his district and is consistently 99th percentile for math and English. His extracurricular activities have included karate in which he is two belts away from black belt, cellist in the orchestra, swimming and more. He is currently a tutor at Mathnasium.

Musician of the Year

Camila George has been a student of Ms. Mary's for seven years but has been playing piano for a total of 11 years. She also participates in her school's band program in which she plays percussion. Her school's band program placed 1st in the Band of America North Texas Regional. Her percussion program has had the honor of performing at the prestigious Percussive Arts Society International Convention in the fall of 2022. For piano she is working toward finising and receiving her certifation of completion for the Royal Conservatory of Music Program for piano. She is currently working on level 9 with one more level left for certification.
